The 18b Las Vegas Arts District Celebrates its Pioneers!

I have been watching the growth of the arts district for years. I started going into the neighborhood back in the early 1990's when Cafe Enigma was the place to be and be seen. Those were the heady days of a proto-arts district that would over time blossom into the neighborhood we have today. Granted there have been some growing pains like any place but ultimately the results have been pretty amazing.

Thanks to all those pioneers the 18b Arts District Association in conjunction with the City of Las Vegas will be celebrating  those who worked so hard to make 18b an amazing and vibrant neighborhood. The celebration takes place on Thursday, April 18th at 6pm. As we honor the past we are excited to celebrate the future. So please come and celebrate with us!

For more information about the history of the Las Vegas arts district take a look at my blog post from October 2011 - http://lvartsandculture.blogspot.com/2011/10/first-friday-re-loaded-look-back.html

Culturally yours - Paco,
18b Arts District Association Board Member and City of Las Vegas Arts Commissioner
