July First Friday is Sizzling HOT!

Here is the First Friday list of goings-on from the mastermind behind First Friday Cindy Funkhouser. There is also a lot more happening out and about so please make sure to get yourselves Downtown to start your holiday weekend in style with lots of Arts and Culture to entice your mind. For me personally I am most excited about today because it is the first time at First Friday that I have two of my own works of art being featured in two galleries! My small tribute to the "Original MGM Grand Hotel" which is part of Erin Stellmon's fabulous show Reign of Glass at the Contemporary Arts Center and "8-Bit" skate deck that I prepared for LVSK8 IV at PLACE Gallery. That alone is reason to come out and hob-nob with the cool crowd. Besides artists make great pets!

Have a safe holiday weekend everyone!

Retro Vegas-- Diane Bush and her exhibit titled "Bob's Your Uncle" This exhibit shows a taster's sampling of black and white vintage photographs taken in the U.K.  by Diane Bush, over a 10 year span from 1968-1979 when she lived and worked in England. The traditionally framed 8 x10 black and white prints are charming and amusing slices of Britain's varied populace, captured in a familiar Henri Cartier-Breeson journalistic style that Tony Ray-Jonesembodied, and was carried further here by Bush, after Ray-Jones' demise. Photographs from this body of work were featured in the retrospective exhibit and book honoring the world renowned German photo collector, Helmut Gernsheim, an admirer of Bush's work. 1211 S Main, Mon - Sat 11 - 6, 702-384-2700

This new work and first career solo show shows punctilious compositions and acrid colors smashing together throughout the work.  They weave distance and flatness into a web of indecipherable scale.  www.trifectagallery.com   702.366.7001   Open 6 days a week.
