Xanadu @ the Arts Factory TONIGHT!
The 1980's were full of leg warmers, shoulder pads and John Hughes films. But before all these things cemented themselves in the collective memory of those who remember the era, there was one film that sticks out as the precursor to them all. With Olivia Newton John in tow Robert Greenwald's Xanadu takes us back to the beginning of the decade that gave us Madonna, the Talking Heads and of course leg warmers.
So make sure to stop by the World Famous Arts Factory in Downtown Las Vegas TONIGHT for some nosh, a cocktail and most definitely a little Xanadu!!!
CAMP 107 {Cocktails, Cuisine & Classic Cinema Experience}
Put on your legwarmers and join us as we revisit the 1980s with XANADU. The Greek muses incarnate themselves on Earth to inspire men to achieve. One of them, incarnated as a girl named Kira, (Olivia Newton-John), encounters an artist named Sonny Malone. With the help of Danny McGuire, a man Kira had inspired forty years earlier, Sonny builds a huge disco roller rink.
So put on your shiniest lip gloss, (oh, come on you metrosexuals, you know you have some). Feather your hair if you have any, and enjoy dinner and a cocktail before the movie at 8pm. Kooky abandon and unembarassed chutzpah make it a movie nobody dared to love - except us of course, at Bar+Bistro.
