Remembering & Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King...

Today is a special day where we set aside our differences and celebrate the wonderful salad bowl that is our great nation. In honoring and remembering Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we look back at the civil rights struggles that gripped our nation years ago and whose reverberations are felt to this day. Though the civil rights struggles are not as pronounced today as they were back in the 1960's we are still growing as a nation when it comes to tolerance of those that are different. Let us not forget what Dr. King once said, Free at Last, Free at Last, Thank G-d Almighty we are Free at Last...

Las Vegas like communities around the nation are celebrating this special day with parades and celebrations. The Martin Luther King Day Parade will begin at 10am along 4th Street in Downtown. Arrive early so you can get the best seats in the house. There is plenty of parking around Downtown and after the parade make sure to patron many of the businesses that are open and ready to welcome the masses.
