Nevada Repertory Dance Theater presents - A Little Song and Dance...

Once again Tia Taymar from the Miley Achievement Center and Marko Westwood, Artistic Director of Nevada Repertory Dance Theater (NRDT) are getting together to produce an enchanting evening of song, music and dance within the intimate setting of the Onyx Theater. “This time around we decided to have the choreographers use musical theater songs, from stage or film, as their creative springboard”, says Ms. Taymar. The use of live music and vocals are an integral part of Musical Theater and will accompany several of the dance numbers performed throughout the night. Ten choreographers have donated their time to produce work for this performance and all proceeds, above and beyond general operating costs, will go to the Miley Achievement Center. However, the space has once more been graciously donated to the performers by Mike Morse, owner of the Rack and Onyx Theater. “Without individuals like Mike Morse, Tia and my fellow artists we would never be able to raise awareness and much needed funding to such a worthy cause”, explains Mr. Westwood. “Sometimes this is the true power of art and what it can do for others”, he adds.

Those choreographing this year will be NRDT company members Tiffany Caudullo, Serena Bartholomew, Petrina Olson, Onishia Murillo, Anna Michele Fazio and NRDT's Artistic Director; Marko Westwood. Also included in the evenings presentations will be Ava Galore singing a number from Mack and Mabel, cast members from Rag Tag Entertainment's upcoming production of RENT, the musical talents of Arles Estate and two wonderful violin solos by company member Tiffany Caudillo.
