The Kaiser Report... Musical happenings for the week of January 16...

Here is the weekly musical happenings about town thanks to Laraine Kaiser. And by the looks of it Downtown Henderson will be rocking tonight. If you have not been to Third Thursday on Water Street its well worth the drive. Henderson has a fledgling little art scene with little galleries, good eats and some good sounds.

Have a great and cultural filled week everyone!

Saturday January 21st 2:00pm
United States Air Force’s Band of the Golden West Winds
The Golden West Winds performs, “Woodwind Quintet through the Ages,” a glimpse into the genre’s development spanning over two centuries of repertoire. The quintet will illustrate how the ensemble was first modeled after the classical string quartet then eventually exploded into a virtuosic medium unto itself. Selections for the concert include original quintet compositions from the classical works of Giuseppe Cambini, the romantic works of August Klughardt, and the contemporary works of Astor Piazzolla and Robert Muczynski. The dynamic Golden West Winds will close the concert with stirring patriotic selections celebrating our great country and our veterans of past present and future.
