The way to appreciate theater...

I have learned to appreciate theater by getting to know someone who is in theater. Whether it is an actor, actress, a producer or a director, the lighting guy, maybe even a critic, meeting someone in the field always makes the experience so much richer. At least that has been the case with me. Why? Because you have a perception of who that person is out of costume and then when you see them transform into someone completely different on stage it is magical to witness. But if you don't know someone don't fret come Downtown anyway and I will personally introduce you to few thespians.

Now with that said, the kids over and Born and Raised Productions and Rag Tag Entertainment have teamed up to bring the latest show in the Arts District. The show aptly called ART by Yasmina Reza and directed by Joe Hynes, stars none other then local actors Geo Nikols, Dave Surratt and Erik Amblad. Knowing how these folks perform on stage I would say that we are in for quite a treat. With nine performances to bring in the masses there is no excuse to miss the show!
