Mexican artist to be featured at Azul Tequila in Downtown...

"Gushsan"
Gustavo Sanchez, aka Gushsan, came to Las Vegas with fire on his painters palate ready to make an impact in the local arts scene. I met Gushsan, years ago when I was curator of the Hispanic Museum of Nevada. His contemporary works are a mix of dramatic patriotic scenes from Mexico and the United States with a touch of cubism and surrealism.

He is well known for murals that he has painted in Los Angeles and France and several important projects that he completed in Las Vegas. As Cultural Director of the Jalisco Federation of Nevada he is able to promote culture and art to the local Mexican community.

On Thursday, May 12 Gushsan will be featuring a collection 12 works and a Trans Am he painted. The event will take place at Azul Tequila bar and lounge, one of Downtowns newest establishments.

So while you are out and about on Fremont East make sure to stop by Azul Tequila and say hello to one of the most talented local Mexican artists in Las Vegas.
