If you have not been to City Center then you are missing out on great architecture, a nice collection of public art, some good eats and a really cool gallery. MCQ Fine Art and CENTERpiece Galley will host a one-of-a-kind, limited edition jewelry event at the gallery on July 29, featuring the works of well-known local and national jewelry designers. Each designer/artist, who created their signature collections based on recognizing the power of quality materials, unique style and innovative designs, has garnered an impressive fan base and an international celebrity following. “Art Wear” will be held at CENTERpiece Gallery on Thursday, July 29 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. In addition, jewelry designers Carla Taylor (Lola and George)and Andrea Corson will make a personal appearance at the event from 6:30-7:30pm. MCQ Fine Art and CENTERpiece Gallery is please to present the works of local contemporary artist Sush Machida Gaikotsu for the next installation of its “Local Only” rotating exhibition series. This is the first solo exhibition of his work in the Las Vegas area and will include a VIP opening reception with the artist on Thursday, September 16, 2010, from 6 to 8 pm. The exhibition will run through November 7, during normal business hours, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. CENTERpiece Gallery is the new gallery by Curator Michelle C. Quinn,

The Gallery is a 2,500-square-foot fine art and design venue that focuses not only on the traditional mediums of contemporary art such as photography and works on paper, but also presents unique and functional design objects and furniture. The gallery showcases works by many of the contemporary artists and architects featured throughout CityCenter, including artists Claes Oldenburg, Richard Misrach, Jenny Holzer and David Rockwell.
