Culture is fostered when a community comes together for a great cause...

There are some things worth living for especially when it involves giving to good causes. A few weeks ago my awesome stylist Samantha O'Brien at Globe Salon was telling me about a trip she is going to take this year. Now I had been chatting with Sam about her many trips to Burning Man but nothing prepared me for what she was about to tell me. Basically she is going on the trip of a lifetime, a trek to the tallest peak in all of Africa. Yes, you probably guessed it correctly Sam is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.

I would be lying if I didn't say I am very jealous. Just the mere fact that she will witness the last of the glaciers of Africa leaves me wondering why can't I do this trip? But what makes her trip even more spectacular and heartwarming is the fact she is doing it to raise funds and awareness for the American Foundation for Children Living with AIDShttp://www.helpchildrenwithaids.org/index.html

This Sunday Sam and Globe Salon have teamed up for what is expected to be a great charity event for a awesome cause. Please join me and the rest of our neighborhood to celebrate a great cause for children!
