First Friday is HOT HOT HOT...

Artist Erin Stellmon speaks to Joe Sacco
during the opening reception of her solo
exhibition Reign of Glass
@ the Contemporary Arts Center
It has arrived, you know the great little Arts Festival that could and I got an amazing sneak preview of what is in store for us this evening. I had the pleasure of doing a whirlwind tour last night of several of the galleries and I will say that this First Friday will be HOT HOT HOT. Just the few shows I visited blew me out of the water which means we are in for an awesome party. Please take a look at all my earlier posts further down on the blog to check out just a few of the multiple activities that are taking place in 18b - Las Vegas' Arts District...

Please stay tuned for my live blogging from Downtown's newest attraction Emergency Arts and The Beat Cafe. Mayor Oscar B. Goodman will be dedicating the new Burlesque Hall of Fame at the location and I heard through the grape vine that there will be a very special guest to kick off the festivities. Emergency Arts and The Beat Cafe are located at 520 Fremont Street at 6th.

Also do not forget to catch up with Born and Raised Productions kick off of the first 18b Music Festival right behind the Arts Factory in the new Boulder Sculpture Plaza http://brnrsd.com/18b-music-festival/
