Las Vegas Satin Saddle Jazz Orchestra entertains this afternoon...

There is one thing about Las Vegas that is never in short supply, Musicians and Entertainers and good ones at that. For years Las Vegas exclusively boasted live music at all the shows on the Strip. People like Jack Entratter at the Sands brought some of the most memorable acts to Strip including one of the finest band leaders that Las Vegas ever had, Antonio Morelli. Morelli led bands who accompanied the likes of Nat King Cole and of course the most famous group of all the Rat Pack. Las Vegas’ musical traditions did not end there and continued well into the future.

Today live music can be found in many venues around the city and great musicians can be heard. This afternoon the Las Vegas Satin Saddle Jazz Orchestra will be entertaining audiences in Henderson.

The three hour show begins at 2pm with a few intermissions. The show will be held at the E-String Grill & Poker Bar, 2031 W. Sunset Rd. in Henderson. The orchestra will be playing the likes of the big band jazz composers such as Thad Jones, Ron Myers, John Fedchock, John Clayton, Mike Tomaro, and others. A voluntary donation of 5 dollars is suggested at the door.
