The 28th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Day Parade takes place today in Downtown...

For 28 years the annual parade honoring America's great civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King has taken place in Las Vegas with floats, bands, dignitaries and lots of children. This years theme is "Living the Dream: Saluting Community Leaders."

This years parade is expected to attract more than 25,000 people Downtown to enjoy several hundred entries. The parade begins at 10am and should last for several hours.

The parade route begins in 18b (Las Vegas' Arts District) along 4th Street from Gass Avenue to Fremont Street. Expect street closures along the parade route and heavy traffic along Las Vegas Boulevard as parking is at a premium in Downtown.

Come down to the historic Downtown and enjoy a great American Tradition! Happy Martin Luther King Day!
